Susya
As a result of our appeal regarding the prevention of access  of Palestinian farmers to their lands near Susya settlement, the court gave the state 30 days to submit its response. Only in the last week, after the time for submitting the response had passed, the state requested a postponement of a further 30 days. We objected to the request explaining that we are afraid that as a result of this postponment the farmers will not be able to access their land during the plowing season and they will lose another year and hundreds of thousands of NIS. We were ready to remove our objection if the state would promise the access of the petitioners to their lands in the coming season which will start with the first rains. The state refused. We will therefore wait for the court’s decision.

Palestinian Lands in Jalud of Samaria - Palestinians and settlers confront each other in military court

On August  31th. we attended with our clients, owners of lands in the extent of hundred of dunams in Jalud, Lands of which settlers took over by force, in the military court, for the beginning of the stage of  evidence in which the court began to hear the testimonies of the settlers and Palestinians.

In the beginning the court heard a witness on behalf of the settler and then a witness on behalf of the Civil Administration.

At a certain point the atmosphere became hot and our loud voice was heard in the court room.

In the next court  meeting our clients testimony will be heard ass well.

We hope that in the end of the day the military court will do justice,  order the invading settler to evacuate the land and  return the lands to their owners.
