An army contingent and representatives of the DCO arrived on the spot on the same day and discovered that indeed 19 trees have been damaged. The landowners lodged a complaint with the Israeli police and they are investigating. An army tracker found footprints leading back into the nearby outpost.  Our independent investigation confirmed this report. The damaged trees were discovered close to the illegal outpost “Havat Maon”. This is part of a recent wave of vandalism to trees in the area in which 58 trees have been damaged. Also new vandalism to tress in Sapa – Beit Omar.
