In an interview with “Be’Hezi Hayom” on Reshet Bet, Rabbi Arik Ascherman relates the story of a single mother from South Sudan. This is an example of the complexities of returning to a country which is poor and full of refugee camps, on the brink of a humanitarian crisis. Toward “Hatikun Hagadol” : Newsletter of Parashat Bamidbar – Shabbat kalla
Shavuot is coming up and we are counting the days. The entire country is preparing for the ‘Tikun’ and we work every day in order to realize the ‘Tikun’ by implementing universal rights. On ‘Tikun leil’ Shavuot we will be all over the country and will connect the Jewish tradition with social work as a part of the concept of our Human Rights Yeshiva.
