Suspicion of “Price Tag” in the harvest of El Jenia
The pressure we exerted on the DCO to give permission to harvest the olive groves in El Jenia (near the illegal outpost ‘Zait Raanan’) was successful, but at the same time we discovered in the grove a tree that had been cut down, and there is a suspicion that the settlers in this area did it. Rabbi Kobi Weise describes his impressions from the events of the olive harvest. We learn that the State of Israel’s strategy of controlling the “seam” areas turns the Palestinians into desperate and frustrated people. Landowners can not access their lands and they are prevented from working their fields. Their lands are surrounded by construction sites and they can not work properly. Continue reading
