The writer and the social activist Almog Behar leads the evening on: Between the Temple destruction and home destruction.
RAMADAN KAREEM
Last Thursday (26.7) we took part in the demonstration: “Atias – if you will not come to the people, the people will come to you” opposite the house of Ariel Atias, Minister of Housing and Eviction, in Jerusalem. Rabbi Arik Asherman spoke on “Between the Destruction of the Temple and the Destruction of the Home” – a joint activity with activists from the “Ma’abara” during the last hours of the Tisha B’Av fast. Watch the video on Facebook where Yair Harel reads the Lamentations. We are continuing to link the uncompromising struggle for social justice with Jewish human rights’ activities.

Next week the volunteers will go to the South Hebron Hills to help in the rebuilding of cisterns in the area. We will be pleased to have more volunteers for the activities of RHR.
Economic Social Justice
The Minister of Housing, Ariel Atias, did not come to the debate of the lobby for public housing. Quite a few homeless people and others affected by the public housing system did attend. This was irresponsible of the minister, especially during these days of protest, when democracy is being used to bring to the forefront of public debate the nation’s outstanding problems.
