A second demolition order was issued tverge skeleton of an old vehicle that is used as a social club of Um El Chir

The security forces reached a new record in their destruction policy in South Hebron Hills. Firstly, Israel only issues demolition orders for structures and infrastructure in South Hebron Hills instead of offering the local residents building plans (while the building in the settlements does not stop). Secondly, Israel harasses the weak residents, even issuing a demolition order to the home of a widow with seven children and against their playground.

Before the week of the 2nd of May, 2 “stop work” orders were issued in Umm el Cheir.  They were  actually demolition orders:

  • One demolition order was issued against a new tin structure that was built the last days with the help of OCHA. This was supposed to be finished these days and it was supposed to be for the use of the widow and her 7 children whose home was demolished on January 25th 2012. The demolition can be seen on Facebook alboom.
  • A second demolition order was issued tverge skeleton of an old vehicle that is used as a social club of Um El Chir. Inside it there are a modest library and a modest playroom that are not under the permission of the security forces.
