Adv. Quamar Mishirqi Asad brings us two cases of preventing Palestinian farmers’ access to their lands. Fauzi, from Jalud, and Abu Samra family are expelled from their lands and can not realize their right to work on their land. Adv. Mishirqi-Asad tells the story of the Israeli bureaucracy that harasses the Palestinian population by not giving them access to their lands.

Last week the State submitted its response to an appeal submitted by us in the name of a resident of the village of Jaludwho owns land near the outpost Esh Kodesh. Although he submitted his claim a year and a half ago, we received a notice that said that the army will need a few more months in order to consider the matter.

In our response to the Supreme Court we explained that it is harassment from the army and a long term abuse against his right to access his land. The Supreme Court did not give its decision yet.

Otniel: Also in the last week the Abu Samra family was expelled from their land by the army and the DCO. The claim given for this expulsion was that access should have been coordinated with them. We would like to emphasize that it is not a closed area and that the coordination demand is not legal. In the coming days we will send  a letter regarding this issue to the army and the DCO.
