On October 27th 5 volunteers harvested olive trees in Hares near the settlement of Revava, with Abu Saed. Two volunteers went with me on a field tour and later joined the volunteers who were harvesting and also helped in the village of Sinjil.
Abu Saed showed us that the settlement Revava is continuing to expand on Palestinian lands. Abu Saed could not take care of his land. The army gave him a permit to work only for two days and he could not bring with him his family to help him. The army did not consider this. His land is in very bad shape.
A rabbi, a member of Rabbis for Human Rights North America came with an interfaith group (that included representatives of “Temple Beth Israel, church members etc.) The group worked on the lands of Sinjil, and later I and another field people gave them an explanation about the olive harvest season.
We still need volunteers. Please join us.
